Dr. Ricky Agnihotri is a Family Doctor based in Calgary, Alberta. He holds a Master’s degree in Public Health (Health Policy). He completed his Family Medicine training at the University of Calgary, Canada. His special interests include Mental Health, Type 2 Diabetes, and Obesity. He currently serves as a member of the Provincial Advocacy Committee for the Canadian Diabetes Association where his efforts include urging politicians to take political action on key issues affecting Canadians with diabetes. He has held several roles with the Canadian Diabetes Association including Regional Chair, and Founding Chair of the South Asian Diabetes Awareness Committee (SADAC). For his advocacy efforts in combating diabetes, he has been acknowledged with awards both regionally and nationally. Dr. Agnihotri looks forward to the challenge of working with (and advocating for) marginalized populations with complex social issues.
